How do I buy tickets offline or in-person?
You can purchase tickets online at www.autumnglowfestival.com or at our box office onsite at the festival.
What fees and taxes will I be charged?
Taxes and fees include New York State sales tax, credit card process and third party ticketing surcharge.
How will I get my tickets if I buy them online?
When you complete your ticket purchase the tickets will be emailed to you, you can print it at home, or save the QR code to your mobile device.
Do you offer refunds?
Once the purchase is complete, all the tickets are non-refundable.
What if the event is canceled or postponed?
We are a rain or shine event. In the event of extreme weather, we will notify our guests of cancellation beforehand. You may use your tickets for any other date and no need to exchange them.
Can I show my tickets on my phone at the door or do I need to have the physical tickets with me?
You can show your tickets digitally on your phone or a printed copy.
At what age does a child need a ticket?
All children over 3 are required to have a ticket.
Do you offer military, senior citizens, or other discounts?
We offer discounts for seniors, military and students.
What time do the doors open and close?
Doors open at 6:30pm with last entry at 9pm.
Where should I park and is parking free?
We offer free on site parking at Mabee Farm
Are pets allowed?
We love pets too, but unfortunately, only service animals are allowed.
Is there an age limit or an ID requirement to enter the event?
All ages are welcome! If you purchased youth tickets, you must show your ID at the door.
Is there a way for me to get updates as the event before and during the event in case of traffic delays or other problems that could affect the event?
You will be notified directly by email or text if you have purchased tickets. You can also follow us at Facebook and Instagram at AutumnGlowFestival
Can I touch the lantern displays?
For your safety, we don’t allow visitors to touch any lantern displays.

Is smoking or e-cigarettes allowed in the event?
Smoking and e-cigarettes are not allowed at all events.
How long does it take to do the whole tour?
Our events may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1hr.
Can I propose there?
Absolutely! We couldn’t think of a more magical place. If you plan on proposing, please contact our staff at info@winterlanternfestival.com
What do you suggest to take good pictures?
Taking pictures at night can be tricky. We highly suggest you find a light source in front of your subject first before switching on your camera. Try to avoid strong lighting directly behind your subject. If your phone has night mode, be sure to keep the subject and the phone still for 3 seconds (typically) upon clicking the shutter button- this will produce a clearer photo.
Do you sell umbrellas / rain jackets onsite?
We don’t. Please bring your own in case it rains.
Are we allowed to bring food and drinks?
Outside food and drinks are not permitted. We do have food and beverages at our events.
Are there bathrooms / restrooms?
Yes! We will have port-a-potties set up at our events. There are also handicapped bathrooms available in the Mabee Farm building.

If I get to the event early / late, can I come in or I have to stay for the time on the tickets?
Yes, we will honor your tickets for the same date and event in case you are early / late for your time slot based on availability.
Where can I get tickets if I didn’t see any available tickets for tonight / specific dates?
If you see no availability for a specific date / time, it means the time slot is sold out. You can always pick a different date or time. You can also check with our box office staff at the event.
Do we need to show vaccine proofs?
As all of our events are outdoors, visitors are free to enjoy all our lights and lanterns regardless of vaccination status.
Is it possible to transfer my tickets to others?

What should I do if I need to change the dates of my tickets?
You can change your dates through the link on your confirmation email up to 24 hours before the event.

What is Mabee Farm?
The oldest farm in the Mohawk Valley (1705), Mabee Farm Historic Site offers visitors today vibrant educational and recreational opportunities. With its deep history and riverside beauty, it’s the perfect place to explore the heritage of rural Schenectady County and the Mohawk Valley.
Mabee Farm is home to three 18th century houses, an 18th century Dutch Barn, a number of wooden outbuildings, and our modern Franchere Education Center. Walk across weathered pine floors in the home of 18th century settlers. Say hello to our resident farm animals. Ogle the hand-pegged Dutch Barn (1760s) or just meander through our orchards, gardens, and forest trails. Tied to the dock float our reproduction 18th century bateaux, giving visitors an idea of how goods were shipped on the Mohawk River when Schenectady was America’s frontier.
Is the festival wheelchair accessible?
The festival is friendly for wheelchairs but not technically ADA accessible. We have a hard path laid out over the Mabee Farms grounds that is fairly flat.
How much are tickets?
Adults are $26.99, Seniors are $21.99 and Children $16.99. Saturdays are $1 per ticket additional.
What is the best time to view the lanterns?
Peak viewing time for the lanterns is after the sun sets.
